Eyebrow Transplant Methods
For an eyebrow transplant, the required hair and roots are taken from the back of your head, known as the donor area. There are two methods for harvesting the hair:
- Surgical Method: MFUT (Micro Follicular Unit Transplantation)
- Non-Surgical Method: MFUE (Micro Follicular Unit Extraction)
The amount of hair harvested depends on the needs of your eyebrows. If you don’t have eyebrows and would like to have thick and full ones, the amount of hair taken will match the desired eyebrow density.
Don’t worry—no bald spots will be left on the back of your head.
In both methods, the transplanted eyebrows may shed once. The growth process starts after 3 months, and you will see the final results within 8 months.
Both methods yield permanent results, with the transplanted hairs lasting a lifetime. The transplanted hairs will grow naturally, and you can trim and shape them as needed.
Both methods are performed under local anesthesia and take about 4 to 6 hours to complete. The swelling during the recovery period is minimal and similar for both methods. The recovery process is generally easy in both cases.
