Introduction to the MFUT Method
In the MFUT method, a narrow strip of skin is removed from between your existing hair without cutting your hair short. This process is done under local anesthesia and takes only a few minutes. The two ends of the skin are then stitched together using a cosmetic lift surgery technique. The stitches are removed after 12 days, or dissolvable stitches are used for patients traveling from afar.
Immediately after the procedure, no bald spots will be visible on the back of your head. The hair follicles are individually separated under specialized hair transplant microscopes. A minimal amount of anesthesia is injected below the donor line, which is less than in the MFUE method and more tolerable for the patient.
Body Position in the MFUT Method
In this method, the patient can either remain seated, chatting or using their phone, or lie face down. The entire donor process takes about 5 minutes.
End of Transplantation in MFUT
At the end of the procedure, a small amount of cream is applied to the suture area at the back of the head, and no dressing is required. A small amount of special cream is also applied to the eyebrows.
